If you knew that you had a 40% chance of developing Cancer in your lifetime what would you do about it? If you stop to think about it, this also means almost half of the people you know and love will develop Cancer at sometime in their lives. If you could make a difference, would you?
My name is Shari Tucker, I’m a Halifax based Photographer who is trying to make a difference. The Cancer Statistics are devastating: 39% of women and 45% of men will develop Cancer in their lifetime. (Canadian Cancer Society, 2008)
Cancer can be survived. Those who have conquered it have found joy of life, freedom and inspiration from their experiences and are excited to share this with the world!
On National Cancer Survivors Day, June 1st, 2008, I will host my first Art Show titled Young & Fearless. It will open at Queen Street Studios in Dartmouth and run for the month of June. The show will concentrate on the stories and inspiration of Cancer survivors. You can view the show Monday through Friday from 8:30-4:30 at 50 Queen Street in Dartmouth.
This is a social awareness show that aims to inspire Canadians to make a difference. To inspire those diagnosed with Cancer to fight and win the battle and to inspire those who have conquered Cancer to support others in their fight.
You are able to make a difference. Please show your support.
Coffeetable books are now on sale for $75 each. For orders placed and paid for during the month of June, net proceeds go directly to the Canadian Cancer Society! Please email us at fearless@sharitucker.com to place your order today!
