Portrait FAQ
What should we wear for our photos?
Clothing for everyone should be kept simple and solid colors are best. Please avoid stripes, busy patterns and logos. You do not need to have everyone in the photo in the same color (although that can look nice), but you should make sure that none of the outfits clash with one another. Please make sure that clothing fits properly on everyone and that baby's diapers are properly covered. If you wish to have any shots of you or your baby nude, please avoid wearing tight fitting clothing or elasticized pants or socks as this may leave marks on your skin.
When should we have our baby's photo taken?
The three best times for photos in the first year are:
Within the first two weeks of birth
At approximately six months (or when your child begins to sit)
At approximately one year to celebrate their birthday, or when they start to stand
How do we choose and order our photos?
Within a week of your session your photos will be posted to an online ordering site called Show My Photos. This is a Canadian company that I work with that allows you to view, order and pay for your photos directly online. Photos will then be packaged and shipped directly to your home via Canada Post. The album can be password protected if you choose, please mention this at your photo session.
When do we pay for our photos?
The session fee will be due the day of your photos in cash or cheque. Any prints that you order will be paid directly online on the Show My Photos website by major credit card. Should you not have a credit card, please discuss alternative options with Shari.
