Young and Fearless

Young & Fearless

If you knew that you had a 40% chance of developing Cancer in your lifetime what would you do about it? If you stop to think about it, this also means almost half of the people you know and love will develop Cancer at sometime in their lives. If you could make a difference, would you?

I’m a Halifax based Photographer who is trying to make a difference. The Cancer Statistics are devastating: 40% of women and 45% of men will develop Cancer in their lifetime. (Canadian Cancer Society, 2009)

Cancer can be survived. Those who have conquered it have found joy of life, freedom and inspiration from their experiences and are excited to share this with the world!

This is a social awareness project that combines photographs and stories of survivors. It aims to inspire Canadians to make a difference. To inspire those diagnosed with Cancer to fight and win the battle and to inspire those who have conquered cancer to support others in their fight. It is an awareness project to show people that cancer can be survived.

This social awareness project has touched thousands of people in the past three years. Three beautiful art shows have been exhibited in Halifax, NS and Truro, NS. A coffee table book was self-produced in 2008.  As the project has grown, the 2010 book is now published and available for purchase featuring the beautiful photographs and inspirational stories of 30 cancer survivors who are 30 years and younger.
